New Campaign Will Prepare Thousands of San Diegans for Immigration Relief

RNSD-2

The Ready Now San Diego campaign is providing resources for all of San Diego’s diverse immigrant communities. This includes a new website translatable in many languages with information about immigration assistance and programs currently available to them including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, citizenship, driver’s licenses for undocumented residents and legal assistance to apply for these programs.

Ready Now San Diego is part of a statewide effort known as Ready California, which is working to ensure that the maximum number of eligible Californians benefit from Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA). Under the programs, the government will defer the deportation of certain undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children and certain undocumented parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, respectively.
