Anastasio H. Rojas’ Widow To Respond to News About Grand Jury

San Diego: Maria Puga, the widow of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas along with human

rights advocates from the Southern Border Communities Coalition will issue their official statements to the breaking news about the grand jury that has been called in the case of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas, who was beaten and killed after being shot repeatedly with a stun gun and while in the custody of Customs and Border Protection on May of 2010 in San Diego.

 

This news marks a significant step forward to hold Customs and Border Protection responsible for the abuses and killings that have occurred along the U.S. southern border.

 

Additionally this news comes just as the Southern Border Communities Coalition gears up to send a delegation next week to Washington D.C. to further push for accountability and oversight of Customs and Border Protection.
