In what can only be called a major win for youth activists, Democrats may finally be moving to pull the Dream Act away from comprehensive immigration reform. Yesterday, Nevada Sen. Fremont, Nebraska Suspends Tough Immigration Law, Forcing Trial

FREMONT, Neb. — A Nebraska city suspended its voter-approved ban on hiring or renting property to illegal immigrants, but opponents still want a federal judge to block the ordinance until all legal fights are resolved. Groups challenging the ordinance are expected in court Wednesday, a day after the Fremont City Council voted to suspended the ban. U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton issued a ruling today, just hours before SB 1070 is set to go into effect tomorrow, blocking the most stringent portions of the new Arizona law.
